Monmouth County SPCA & Homeward Bound Adoption Center The Monmouth County SPCA was founded in 1945 to care for the community’s homeless, neglected and abused animals. They are a private, not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization led by a volunteer board of trustees. MCSPCA is an independent organization and not affiliated with the ASPCA, HSUS or Associated Humane Societies. The MCSPCA receives little or no funding from federal, state or local governments and relies solely on modest fees and donations.
Pick Your Paw Animal Rescue (Shrewsbury, NJ) Pick Your Paw Animal Rescue is a small, grass roots network of 10 to 12 animal lovers working together to rehabilitate 6 to 10 rescued dogs at a time. They pull dogs from local kill-shelters, New York City Animal Care and Control’s nightly “To Be Destroyed" list and Miami-Dade Animal Services "To Be Destroyed" list. PBG offers a comprehensive training program for you and your pit bull, including private sessions, group classes, seminars and workshops. Pit Bull Guru's mission is to educate people about proper training and behavior assessment/modification, as well as raise awareness about the ineffectiveness of Breed Specific Legislation (BSL).
Animal Farm Foundation Located in Dutchess County NY, Animal Farm Foundation has been working nationally to secure equal treatment and opportunity for “pit bull” dogs since 1985. Their programs and services include an animal shelter, free internships for animal welfare professionals, educational resources, and grant opportunities – all designed to support “pit bull” dogs and the organizations working on their behalf.
